Kochi win in low-scoring thriller

Kochi Tuskers Kerala pulled off a stunning six-run win against favourites Kolkata Knight Riders in a thrilling Indian Premier League match on Wednesday. Ravindra Jadeja struck an 18-ball 29 with three sixes and a four to take Kochi to 132-7 before Kolkata were restricted to 126-9 off 20 overs on a slow Eden Gardens track.

Deadline for cricketers to return extended

In a dramatic turn of events Minister of Sports Mahindananda Aluthgamage yesterday extended the deadline until May 18 for the Sri Lankan players participating in the IPL to return back to the national team ahead of the Test series against England.

Pakistan women down Sri Lanka

The Pakistan team led by opener Javeria Kahn scored a thrilling 2 wicket win over a hapless Sri Lankan team in their only One Day International match played at SSC grounds yesterday. Javeria who played the sheet anchor role displayed immense concentration and patience to see her team make a tricky 154 runs in their 50 overs.
