Kiddies' Camp on Easter Sunday
Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo is dedicated to ensuring that even their
littlest guests have a smashing good time at the hotel. The Kiddies'
Camp program was designed to address this in a productive fashion by
introducing an educational element to activities on the children's
schedule.

The monthly Kiddies' Camp hosted by the hotel is often based on a
topical theme. Themes have ranged from Halloween and Christmas to even
an Avurudu Pola. This April the hotel presents an Easter Kiddies' Camp
appropriately scheduled to take place on Easter Sunday.
The action packed afternoon will feature classic Easter activities.
Children will be provided the utensils to decorate their own Easter egg,
with a focus on creativity and skill. The final product is sure to make
the parents proud.
The hotel's pastry chefs, who devotedly contribute their time to the
program, will guide the children through the step by step process of
making hot cross buns. The chefs segments of the programs give the kids
the freedom to get messy and as expected, are well received by the
playful participants.
The hotel's management believes it is important to cultivate talent
at early phases of children's development and exposure to a variety of
skills is part and parcel of their education.
No Easter would be complete without an Easter egg hunt. Spread across
the vast expanse of garden at the Waterside where Kiddies' Camps are
held, children can look forward to a challenging hunt! Further
equilibrating the educational and entertainment factors, a puppet
workshop conducted by acclaimed puppeteer and theatrical artiste
Sulochana Dissanayake, allows children to participate and shape the
story line of the show whilst absorbing valuable life lessons. Sulochana
has graced many a Kiddies' Camp in the past and has devoted fans amongst
the regulars at the Camp.
No child will go home empty handed after a Kiddies' Camp. Many prizes
are up for grabs by winners of competitions as well as by the rest of
the participants.
A particularly looked-forward-to gift is the Tomahawk bicycle that
will be gifted to one child. Children at the Camp range in age from
three to twelve, so a display of bicycles is available from which the
winner may choose one that fits his or her size.
With all the activity taking place, children work up quite the
appetite. The buffet of child-friendly foods is just what is needed to
fulfil their little tummies. It includes an unlimited supply of ice
cream, which on tropical afternoons is favoured by both the children and
their parents.
The Easter Kiddies' Camp will take place on April 24 (Sunday) from 3
pm to 6 pm at the Waterside. |
