State oil annointing ceremony on April 16 at Matara

The state-sponsored oil annointing ceremony for the New Year will take place at the Sri Rohana Uposathagara temple at the Randupatha, Kotuwegoda, Matara, with the participation of President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the auspicious time of 07.41 am on April 16.

This ceremony organized by the Indigenous Medicine Ministry and the Ayurvedic Department will be held under the patronage of the Chief Prelate of the Rohana Maha Sangha Sabha and Chief Incumbent of the Sri Rohana Uposathagara Mahavihara and Chancellor of the Ruhunu University Most Ven Attudawe Sri Rahula Thera at the invitation of Indigenous Medicine Minister Salinda Dissanayake, Indigenous Medicine Deputy Mini- ster Pandu Bandaranayake and Southern Province Chief Minister Shan Wijayalal de Silva and Southern Province Governor Kumari Balasuriya and the SPC Ministers and members.
