More countries to learn from Lanka’s military
Sri Lanka is willing to share the experiences
gained by its Armed Forces in defeating terrorism with other
countries. Fifty five countries have applied to attend an
international conference to be held in Colombo in this connection,
said Prime Minister D M Jayaratne.

Eleven injured as security personnel clash in Kalutara
A clash between members of Sri Lanka Air Force
and the Special Task Force in the Kalutara town has left more than
11 persons injured. According to Police sources, 45 security force
personnel were also arrested by the Police following the clash.
