Six killed in Pakistan blast

PAKISTAN: Six people including a Baluch tribal elder were killed by a remote-controlled bomb in a southwestern Pakistani town near the Iranian border on Thursday, officials said.

The fireball engulfed the car of tribal elder Reham Dil in Quar town in the insurgency-hit Baluchistan province, local police official Abdul Salam said.

"Reham Dil, his son, three guards and one servant died in the blast," he said.

A local administration official confirmed the casualties, saying that the blast set the car alight and two of the bodies were charred.
