Kalutara district DNA Parliamentarian and former World Cup winning Sri Lankan captain Arjuna Ranatunga is reported to have said that he would refrain from giving advice to the Sri Lankan cricket team as the country’s President is giving advice to them.

Ranatunga reportedly made this comment in an interview with NDTV. Political analysts are of the opinion that his comments are unwarranted at a time the entire country wishes the Sri Lankan team success at the ICC World Cup final which would be played at the Wankhede stadium, Mumbai today.
