A series of events to mark the 106th Birth Anniversary of former
Minister D A Rajapaksa, the father of President Mahinda Rajapaksa was
held at Richmond College, Galle last Tuesday under the patronage of the
President. A number of projects beneficial to the School were vested
with the students in commemoration of the late D A Rajapaksa's birth
anniversary yesterday.
These included the new Administrative Complex of the college, the new
computer network with 21 computers, the D A Rajapaksa Sports Complex and
a new access road to the College.
The ceremony has been organized by Richmond College where the late
Minister studied in his young days.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa who attended the function also inspected
the S A Wickremasinghe Oratory Centre and the main hall. |
