Swiss Ambassador visits Jaffna

The newly appointed Swiss Ambassador Hilda Harold Isdud is on a four day-visit to Jaffna. She inspected the progress of the development projects undertaken with Swiss aid. She was appraised of the progress of the development projects by the Forut.

She visited the settlements of the resettled Muslims at Pomaiveli and met the Muslim women and inquired about their immediate needs.

She also paid visit to the Jaffna Bishops house and had discussion with Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Saundranayagam on current political situation in Jaffna. Finally she met the Jaffna Journalists and was appraised of their problems.

She promised to look into their problems in due course.
