Chaminda PERERA

Assistant Elections Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya was appointed the new Elections Commissioner by President Mahinda Rajapaksa effective from today.

Deshapriya is a past pupil of Dharmashoka College, Ambalangoda and a graduate of Peradeniya University. He joined the Sri Lanka Administrative Service in 1983 after serving his Alma Mater as a teacher for five years.

He joined the Elections Department in 1983 as Assistant Elections Commissioner.
