NWSDB takes to water bottling industry

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) will enter the water bottling industry to provide purified drinking water for the public at a low price.

The project will be launched in the North Central Province where diseases such as kidney, dental and bone diseases are believed to have occurred resulting from the consumption of polluted or brackish ground water. The proposed bottling plant will produce 20 litre water bottles to sell at the range of Rs 25 to 30.
