Shelling Libya, a heinous crime - Azwer
The Colonial Masters who once ruled a major portion of the earth is
again flexing their muscles to destroy people whom they earlier ruled,
Parliamentarian AHM Azwer said. He was speaking at the Moulavi passing
out ceremony held at An-Najah Arabic College, Matale recently.
Azwer said it is a heinous crime committed against humanity by the so
called super power by shelling Libya causing heavy loses to women and
children and causing destruction to places of worship. "Where is the
conscience of the world? Where are the human rights? Protagonist who
rushed to issue statements and shout slogans at the fall of a leaf are
silent. Where are the free media movements in Sri Lanka? Why are they
observing a deafening silence?," Azwer asked.
The free world which respects sovereignty of independent countries
should raise their voice loud and clear asking the super powers to
abandon their acts of barbarism on Libya forthwith. Azwer appealed to
Sri Lankan Muslims to conduct special prayers in Mosques invoking the
blessing of Allah to safeguard the people of Libya and other countries
in the Middle East from the aggressors.
Twenty four new Moulavies passed out. They were given their turbans
of NAJD.
The ceremony was presided by principal of Al-Najah Arabic College
Sheikun Najah, Al Muhujireen. |
