Teak seized

A lorry load of teak being transported in excess of the permit stipulations from Kirindiwela to Hanwella was nabbed by the Gampaha Range Forest office.

Three persons were arrested.

They were produced before the Pugoda Magistrate and District Judge Aravinda Perera and released on bail last Wednesday.

He ordered Range Forest Office to hand over the timber to the State Timber Co-operation.
