SEACEN Governors' Conference
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) will host the 46th South East
Asian Central Banks (SEACEN) Governors' Conference, High-Level Seminar
and 30th SEACEN Board of Governors' Meeting today and tomorrow, as one
of the main events to be held in conjunction with its 60th Anniversary
celebrations.
The theme of this year's conference is Post Global Financial Crisis:
Issues and Challenges for Central Banks of Emerging Markets. The chief
guest at the inauguration ceremony will be President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal will chair
the SEACEN Board of Governors (BOG), for the operating year 2011 and 12.
The high level officials and prominent speakers participating at the
Conference include International Monetary Fund, Deputy Managing
Director, Naoyuki Shinohara, Bank for International Settlement, General
Manager Jaime Caruana, London School of Economics and Political Science
Professor Charles Goodhart, and Professor Emeritus former Reserve Bank
of India Governor Dr Y V Reddy. |
