Easy for KPCC

Consistent batting by Kalutara Physical Culture Club batsmen helped them to score a comfortable first innings win over Kandy Cricket Club in their P Sara Trophy Cricket Tournament match concluded at the Rangiri Dambulu International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. In reply to Kandy Cricket Club’s first innings total of 188, Kalutara Physical Culture Club helped themselves to a healthy 294 for 9 declared.

Nalin Prabodha top scored with a neat 69 with 10 fours and Ravindra Niroshan too batted well to score 69 with 10 fours. Off spinner Charith Nirmal brought into the attack late bowled best to capture 4 for 22 while Chanaka Silva who bore the brunt of the earlier bowling took 4 for 115.

Kandy Cricket Club 188 and 91 for 3 in 26 overs (Lahiru Piyaratne 52, Charith Nirmal 23).

Kalutara Physical Culture Club 64 for 1 overnight continued 294 for 9 declared in 86.2 overs (Ravindra Niroshan 65, Nalin Prabodha 69, Pubudu Asanka 45, Kavindu Heshan 32, Chanaka Silva 4 for 115, Charith Nirmal 4 for 22.
