Palestinians stage anti-US rally
Thousands of Palestinians have held an anti-US
rally in the West Bank, criticizing US veto that nixed a UN
resolution on illegal Israeli settlements. More than 3,000
demonstrated in Al Manara’s main square in Ramallah and condemned US
President Barack Obama administration’s veto.

Two Libyan envoys resign
Two top Libyan envoys have resigned from their
posts in solidarity with pro-democracy demonstrations against the
country’s ruler Muammar Gaddafi’s authoritarian regime. Libyan envoy
to the Arab League Abdel Moneim al-Honi and the country’s ambassador
to China resigned Sunday to join the protests.
