Architect 2011 starts tomorrow

Architect 2011 exhibition,organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of
Architects (SLIA) will be held for the 29th consecutive time at the
BMICH.
It will be held from February 23 to 27, SLIA sources said.
The Architect 2011 exhibition has now developed into a significant
event for the past 25 years and has became a mainstay. This exhibition
has proved to be invaluable to the construction industry,as it provides
important details to the public.
The professional body of the Architecture professionals was
originally established as the Ceylon Institute of Architects in 1956. It
was established by a small group of overseas trained architects and now
it is called SLIA. Over the years the SLIA membership has grown to 977
comprising seven membership categories. The SLIA has made a significant
contribution towards Architectural education on Sri Lanka.
The SLIA has increased its stature in region by being a pioneer in
the formulation of professional associations. It is a founder member of
the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA), the Architects
Regional Council Asia (ARCA) and the South Asian Association for
Regional Co-operation of Architects (SAARCH)
Architect 2011 will be an opportunity for all companies and
organizations, associated with the construction industry to present
their goods and services to a larger clientele.
As this exhibition has over the years turned out to be an event
patronized by a very large crowd who are interested in obtaining the
products and services offered. |
