Badulla Hospital gets new building

Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena opened a four storeyed building for the Badulla General Hospital yesterday.

The building comprises Mental Health Unit, Physiological Medical Unit, Out Patients Department (OPD), Paediatric Unit, Neurology division and Premature Childcare Unit built at a cost of Rs 131 million.

A nurses residential building was also opened by Uva Province Chief Minister Shasheendra Rajapaksa.

Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena donated eye clinic equipment to the hospital.

Irrigation and Water Management Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva and Foreign Employment Promotion Minister Dilan Perera also attended the event.
