Scales were evenly tipped at the end of the first day's play in the inter-school cricket match between Vidyartha College and Dharmaloka Vidyalaya, Kelaniya which began at Police Grounds, Kandy yesterday. Dharmaloka Vidyalaya batting first made 150 with Nilantha Subodha stroking an attractive 52 with 3 sixes and 2 fours C A Ratnayake took 4 for 31.

Vidyartha College at close had made 156 for 6 having just over taken their opponents' total.
