Five lucky winners at Emirates golf classic

The first Emirates Colombo Golf Classic was held in February 2009. The 2011 second Emirates Golf Classic which was held last Saturday at the Royal Colombo Golf Club ended on a triumphant and rewarding note for 5 lucky winners to be awarded a trophy and an Air Ticket - They were 'A' Division - P Billimoria, 'B' Division Lal Wickrematunga, 'C' Division Afflli Raheem, Seniors Division, Sugath Weerartne, and the Ladies Division, Danushi Senadhira.

The prizes were most attractive that led to much keeness amongst the golfers. It was highly competitive and the differences between the winners and losers were marginal.

Results: P Billimoria 37 Points, Runner Up: Sanjiv Vairavanathan 37 Points.

B Division: Winner: Lal Wickramathunga 38 Points, Runner Up: Ajith Dissanayake 38 Points.

C Division: Winner: Afflli Raheem 39 Points, Runner Up: AS Abdeen 38.

Seniors Division: Winner: Sugath Weeratne 41 Points, Runner Up: Surath Wickramasinghe 40 Point.

Masters Division: Winner: SE Captain 34 points, Runner Up: Upali Wickramaratne 33.

Ladies Division: Winner: Miss Danushi Senadhira 38 Points, Runner Up: Anusha Senadhira 37 Points.
