Speaking on the "Role of HR Leader, business leader and employees in
building a performance culture" at the hSenid International HRM
Conference he said their staff are more engaged and committed.
Better results leads to greater rewards in the form of recognition
and financial returns, increased influence and significance thus
creating a performance culture that lasts longer.
He said the key to nurturing a high performance culture in
organizations is clarity and effectiveness. In this effort HR leader
plays a significant role in the understanding and communication of the
vision, mission, values and strategic business goals to all levels of
the organization.
"Furthermore the HR leader's initiative to develop a performance
management system and establish a linkage between organizational and
individual goals helps induce an environment conducive enough for the
establishment of a performance culture. Ragunathan said cascading down
from the top level to the lowest level the alignment of goals and
objectives should therefore be analysed measured and fine tuned using
business enablers such as information technology to convey the
importance of performance within the culture. |
