Fisherman held with dynamite

Padaviya police acting on a tip-off arrested a suspect with a stock of dynamite in his possession near the Bogaha junction Padaviya.

Police said the suspect had two separate parcels including 504 grammes and 442 grammes in his possession. Investigations revealed that the suspect is a fisherman from Negombo. The suspect was produced before Kebetigollewa Magistrate Thilina Gamage and remanded till February 9.
