Deyata Kirula exhibition:

Over 5,000 security personnel on duty

Over 5,000 Police and Security Forces personnel will be deployed for security at the 2011 Deyata Kirula exhibition which will be held in Buttala, Moneragala from February 4 to 10, Police sources said.

Five thousand personnel will perform duties under the supervision of a Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police and five Deputy Inspector Generals of Police.

In addition, 30 Superintendents of Police will also be deployed.

Police and Security Forces personnel will be deployed in and around the Deyata Kirula exhibition premises ensuring maximum security. Police sources said besides the security strengthening measures, a considerable number of officials will have to be deployed for traffic controlling activities, public assisting activities, and welfare services.
