Let’s talk about FINESSE

Finesse, the latest magazine to hit the shelves of every bookshop, shopping mall and the coffee table of Colombo, is already making its name very “fine” in the industry.

This new magazine was launched last week at the newest club in town Club Fuga. Models, actors, high society people, and regular partygoers along with friends and family came to support the director of the magazine Srijan Hur at the launch.

Some people would think, “oh no, another boring gossip magazine is launched”…but it’s not all gossip and as far as I went through every page of the magazine – it actually gives some good insights to many things that would interest people of all ages.

Most of the magazines that are there highlight a particular section, but Finesse gives you a mix of everything. This is something for guys, girls, aunts, uncles, motor maniacs, party people and more.

So to get more on the magazine, I had a little chat with Srijan to know what he has to say about his dream turned to reality.

Q: So what is Finesse all about?

A: FINESSE is a unique lifestyle magazine designed to attract personalities from all walks of life.

The magazine provides innovative angles on lifestyle and entertainment, health and household, fashion trends, home and property, travel and living, youth and education, motor and sports and business related matters, while offering information on various other fields relevant to society.

Q: Whose brainchild this Magazine?

A: The birth of Finesse is a life long dream I had which was brought to reality with the help of a New York based veteran journalist by the name of Alex Stone who is also the co–editor for the Finesse Magazine. This also wouldn’t have been possible if not for my friends who helped me in so many different ways.

Q: So what’s your role in this magazine?

A: Well… as for the way my friends introduce me to everyone, I’m heading the publication of the Finesse Magazine.

Q: Tell me about yourself?

A: I’m a small town boy with big dreams and aspirations, who set out to make his dream a reality in the big city…:)

Q: Other than what you have featured in the magazine, are you planning to venture into other areas as well?

A: I am very happy with the content of the magazine as we got a lot of positive feedback since the launch. We will definitely feature more events in the upcoming issues, because already we have been invited to cover some events.

Q: What’s the readership you are looking at...(age wise)?

A: This is a question I have been frequently asked by a lot of people, Finesse is a magazine for everyone. Like I mentioned earlier Finesse is designed to attract personalities from all walks of life.

There are 15 people together with Srijan and all play their given role very well, giving their heart and soul to what they do.
