All-round performances by Sanka

Moratu Vidyalaya all rounder Sanka Ramesh ran short of partners for a big score and was unbeaten with a stylish knock of 84 runs and had a match bag of 7 for 133 (5 for 68 and 2 for 65) in their inter-school under 19 cricket match against formidable St Benedict’s College, Kotahena, played over the weekend.

Sanka Ramesh brought his tally to 660 runs and 67 wickets in nine games for the season.

St Benedict’s 265 (Waruna Fernando 86, Rukshan Weerasinghe 67, Roy Shiran 28, Eranga Ratnayake 21, Sanka Ramesh 5 for 68 and 137 for 4 (Roy Shiran 45, Arjuna Perera 30, Rukshan Weerasinghe 23, Sanka Ramesh 2 for 65).
