ICASL launches financial English course
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) launched
the Cambridge International Certificate in Financial English (ICFE) for
the first time in Sri Lanka yesterday.
The course is aimed at aspiring finance and accountancy professionals
who require skills to demonstrate that they have first-rate financial
English language proficiency, and the ability to communicate confidently
and efficiently within the international business community.
To help meet the demand towards helping finance professionals
demonstrate that they have the financial English skills they need, the
University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (English for Speakers of Other
Languages) and ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
have combined their areas of expertise to develop ICFE.
The ICASL has launched this innovative financial English course, in
its efforts to provide its students at the Institute the best of
courses, which will help make them proficient professionals who posses
both the technical knowledge and also the capability to speak impeccable
English with their counterparts and other seniors in the corporate
world.
ICFE is aimed at ICASL students at the Post Strategic level as an
optional component in their curriculum.
In considering its importance of this course, and as a value
addition, the ICASL which has joined hands with the British Council and
the ACCA to introduce ICFE will also reimburse 75 percent of its course
fee for the Post Strategic level students on successful completion of
this qualification. |
