Positive trading

Yesterday’s trading session at the Colombo bourse was positive, with the ASPI appreciating 7.36 points to close at 7,261.37 while the liquid MPI appreciated 5.56 points to close at 7,298.57.

Both retail and high net worth investors were active and interest was seen in Banking and Poultry sectors yesterday.

Price gainers outnumbered the price losers with 125 counters appreciating in price and only 97 counters declining in price.

Foreign investor selling overran foreign buying to record a net foreign outflow of Rs 269 million.
