Resident praised Eheliyagoda police for launching an anti-drug and anti-illicit liquor campaign throughout the area in a systematic manner.

The Eheliyagoda police Crime Investigation Bureau led by OIC Pradeep Weerasekara took into custody one and a half kilos of cannabis, three cigars, and 500 grams of ‘Madana Modaka’ and produced 40 suspects before Avissawella Magistrate. They were fined Rs 500,000.
