Investigations reveal homicide

Police investigation into the death of a woman of Punguduthivu whose body was found in a decomposed state in an abandoned well has revealed that the death was homicide.

Police have found injuries caused by sharp weapon on her neck. The clothes worn by the woman had been removed from her body and dumped into the well with a stone as weight.

It has come to light that the woman had been raped before being dumped into the well at Munnaipulam Punguduthivu.
