Chavez reiterates call to form patriotic Pole
Enezuela: President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez reiterated on
Wednesday his call to establish the greater Patriotic Pole to continue
constructing a democratic, honorable, sovereign homeland.
Addressing thousands of people gathered at O?(tm)Leary Square to
support legislators of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Chavez
referred to his intention to run as candidate for elections in 2012. He
said that those who want to be a Yankee colony will have to be on the
side of the right wing, but those who want a honourable, sovereign
homeland may join the Bolivarian project.
"You choose whether you want to continue with Chavez or for the
rightist politicians to return to power", he said.
He stresed that the government knows that it counts on a Parliament
in which the Bolivarian majority will prevail, loyal to the
people?(tm)s mandate, and urged opposition legislators to occupy the
space they have earned.
However, he warned that they will never again have majority in the
National Assembly or the local and popular powers.
Now we are obliged to do revolutionary, socialist politics as we
fight for truth and for the construction of the Bolivarian project, he
said.
He admitted that the Government is obliged to increase its efficiency
and committed to respond to the people and rectify whenever it is
needed. Caracas, Thursday, Prensa Latina |
