Laugfs enters into hydropower

To acquire plants, Rs 500 m investment:

Laugfs Power Limited, a subsidiary of Laugfs Gas Limited will invest Rs 500 million on a mini hydro power plant and acquiring existing two mini hydro power plants.

Nestle healthy kids program : The Nestle Lanka Healthy Kids Program is a modern and easy-to-understand Nutrition Awareness Program launched together with the Education Ministry and the Peradeniya University in September 2010. The first phase of the program was completed in seven schools, reaching out to over a thousand children in rural areas. The second roll out of the program in 2011 will educate many thousands of school children across the country on nutrition issues, healthy eating and living a healthy lifestyle. First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa takes keen interest in the development and nurturing of children in the country. She endorsed and commended the company’s nutrition awareness program.
