Chilaw Marians SC take on Colts CC today

The last year's runners up Chilaw Marians CC will face a tough task when they confront Colts CC in the SLC Premier limited overs cricket tournament Tier 'A' second semifinal match under lights at the R. Premadasa Stadium today.

Colts CC finished on top of the points table where they made a clean sweep recording four successive victories in group 'B' against SSC, Bloomfield, Lankan CC and Saracens SC. In contrast Chilaw Marians CC were pushed into the second place in group 'A' following a defeat at the hands of NCC. But they qualified for the semifinals while registering impressive victories against Tamil Union, Baduraliya CC and Lankan CC.

The SLC Premier limited overs tournament Tier 'B' second semifinal will also be worked off today with Sri Lanka Army Sports Club taking on Moors SC at the Colts ground in Havelock Park.

Army SC despite losing one game finished on top of group 'B' on a superior net run rate while Moors SC edged out Panadura SC on bonus points after both teams had collected two victories each. CD
