'Children will shape Sri Lanka's future'

Fonterra Brands Lanka Private Company Biyagama has constructed a
building for Morawewa Yaya Six Vidyalaya in the Trincomalee District.
The old building was destroyed during the conflict.

The new building which costs Rs 1.3 million consist of a principal's
office, teachers' rest room and a library.
This project which came to fruition with the assistance of the Sri
Lanka Air Force was initiated by Hambantota District MP Namal Rajapaksa.
The Fonterra Company also donated 100 desks and 100 chairs to the
school and dry rations to 250 families in the Morawewa village.
Fonterra Company Managing Director Achyut Reddy who was the chief
guest said Sri Lanka's future will be shaped by our children and so
providing them with the best possible education is important.
He said they are glad to be part of this effort initiated by the SLAF
and hope that they will make a big difference to the Morawewa community.
The Morawewa Yaya Six Vidyalaya has been upgraded to create a better
learning environment.
A number of teachers have been recruited to meet the school's needs
and provide the best education possible.
