Don Bosco sure of reaching the semis

Sri lanka Air Force defeated Renown Sports Club one goal to nil in
round two game of the Dialog Champions League match on Wednesday at City
Football Complex. Both teams failed to strike the target to score in the
first half and the lemons were taken with a blank score sheet.
But the Air men got the much wanted goal in the second session of
play which also sealed victory for them. In another game played on the
same day at Vernon Fernando stadium, KalutaraRatnam Sports Club who are
making a strong bid to reach the semifinals of the championship trounced
the team from Kalutara Blue Star Sports Club three goals to two.
Ratnams SC were in front at the half way mark 1-0.
Don Bosco The team from Negombo remains at the top of the points
table with 40 points after the completion of 18 games. Police Sports
Club is a close second to the leaders with 39 points but the law
enforcing officers have played one game more (19) than the leaders
Bosco's 18
Don Bosco SC which has four games with them are sure to make it to
the semis whilethird and fourth placed Police SC and New Youngs Sports
Club from Wennappuwa in a stoirng battle for to find their way to the
semis finals.
Meanwhile the New Youngs team has the advantage to be among the top
four as they have five mpore games to be played before the semis. As the
situation stands at this point Sr Lanka Army and Sri Lanka Police have
big battle ahead of them if they are to bethere in the semis. Match
