Resettlement Minister Gunaratne Weerakoon and Deputy Resettlement
Minister Vinayagamoorthi Muralitheran, participated at a function where
books to the value of Rs 1.2 million was handed over to the Jaffna
University on Thursday.
The handing over took place at a ceremony organized by Vice
Chancellor Professor Shanmugalingam. The books were donated by the Asia
Foundation through the Resettlement Ministry. The students of the
Medical, Engineering, Management and Agriculture Faculties will get the
advantage of using these books.
Minister Weerakoon visited the library along with officials of the
Asia Foundation, Resettlement Authority and Resettlement Deputy Minister
Muralitheran. |
