Once popular stream becomes creepy

‘Pahala-Ella’ situated in Minnana

'Pahala-Ella' situated in Minnana, Avissawella, has become a scary site at night though it used to be a very popular bathing site a few years ago. It has two natural bathing pools namely 'Udaha-wala' and 'Pahala-wala' but both of these pools have now gone muddy and unusable due to quarry work going on in the area.

Despite the beauty of the landscape, villagers say, that a series of creepy sounds are heard from the direction of the 'Maha-wala' during the night.

None of the villagers go to bathe in the pools because of this.
