NCP to develop Tirappane

The North Central Provincial Council (NCP) with the assistance of the
Deputy Youth Affairs and Skills Development Minister Duminda Dissanayake
has jointly embarked on a massive program to develop the Thirappane
area. It is one of the most underdeveloped zones in the Anuradhapura
district.
Under President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s patronage a drinking water supply
project worth Rs 108m will be built for the nearly 2,000 families in
Thirappane village. The construction work was recently inaugurated by
North Central Province Chief Minister Berty Premalal Dissanayake.
Roofing sheets valued at Rs 12.5 million, along with water pumps and
spraying machines worth Rs 2.5 million were also distributed among
low-income group 400 families. |
