FIA President Jean Todt to visit Sri Lanka

Jean Todt, President of Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) the world’s largest motoring organization along with his gracious lady Ms Michelle Yeoh will be on an official tour to Sri Lanka from December 20 to 22, 2010.

In Sri Lanka there are two organizations representing the FIA, namely, The Automobile Association of Ceylon (AA) for mobility and tourism, and Ceylon Motor Sports Club (CMSC) for motor sports.

During Todt’s stay in Sri Lanka, the AA and CMSC have jointly organized “Wheels on Parade” motor show at Vihara Maha Devi Park, Green Path, on the morning of December 22, 2010. Vehicles ranging from vintage, classic, formula and modern cars will be on parade to mark his maiden visit to Sri Lanka.

The AA has arranged a welcome reception on December 22, 2010 at the Galle Face Hotel. It is expected that Todt will make a courtesy call on President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is the Patron of the AA.
