Sri Lanka Navy dominate International Regatta

Sri Lanka Navy Sailors dominated the International Sailing regatta in
the Colombo Harbour on Wednesday. The event was organized to mark Navy’s
60th anniversary.
Twenty enterprise class boats with two sailors in each boat competed
at the race. Sailors from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and three local
yachting clubs participated at the regatta.
Sri Lanka Navy in collaboration with the Yachting Association of Sri
Lanka conducted the race in accordance with International Sailing Rules.
The chief of Staff of the Navy Rear Admiral D W A S Dissanayake was
the chief guest at the award ceremony while Commander Western Naval Area
Rear Admiral Damayantha Dharmasiriwardene was also present on the
occasion.
