Appropriation Bill final vote today

The final vote on the Appropriation Bill of the Budget 2011 will be taken this evening in Parliament. President Mahinda Rajapaksa in his capacity as Finance Minister presented the Bill to Parliament on November 22. The second reading of the Bill took place from November 23 to 29.The committee stage debate started on November 30 and will end this evening.

The Budget debate that continued for 16 days will end today with a few heads of the Finance Ministry to be taken up.
