Dripless Israel tomatoes

Israel's new dripless tomato is now ready for market. The 'Admoniya' - Israel's new dripless tomato is dripless and avoids making your salads soggy.

Some 400 kilograms (882 pounds) of the fruit were brought to the Tel Aviv Hilton's Chefs from the RT Fresh Farm of Moshar Tekuma for the tomato festival organized by Tel Aviv Hilton Hotel from October 13 to 28. As the new variety makes its domestic debut, it also attracts the European market in a massive scale. About 500 tons of fresh tomatoes are expected to be shipped by next spring to several European countries.

"You can cut them however you want and the liquid will stay inside the fruit," says RT Marketing Director Aviashai Trabelsi. According to him we can put these tomatoes in a sandwich and eatable even after a few days as the taste remains fresh and does not get soggy as ordinary tomatoes does.

One can hold an intense tomato and bite into it just like you bite an apple. It's a huge benefit for caterers who use tomato slices to garnish their dishes as these tomatoes retain their shape after slicing.
