Songs for Christmas

Christmas is around the corner and to zest. It more meaningfully a C D comprising originals of Christmas songs will be unveiled from the musical town of Moratuwa.

Thilak de Mel who led the popular vocal harmony group ‘Humming Birds’ in the 70s is instrumental in producing it.

In addition to songs and carols composed by Thilak, some were composed and sung by Nihal Fernando of the popular musical group ‘Niro’ and Sorath Gunawardena, a very popular artist I Moratuwa.

The songs were recorded at the simple recording studio in Moratuwa, assisted and enriched by Lakruwani Rozairo and Chathuranga Fernando.

The first CD will be presented to First Lady Mrs Shiranthi Rajapaksa and that recording studio director Chathuranga Fernando has made all necessary arrangements to market the CD soon.
