Letter to UK, USA political leaders
Over the past few days, it has been quite amusing to observe the
antics of various politicians and sports persons in England and USA who
have attempted to trot out excuses for their abject failure to secure
their respective bids to host the FIFA World Cup tournaments in 2018 and
2022.
In their list of desperate excuses for the humiliating rejection, the
following excuses figure prominently:
n The 22 FIFA members should have taken heed of the request nay,
command issued by the future King of England to vote for England to host
the tournament. The fact that they did not do so, shows that they are
corrupt and insensitive.
n The Russian President did not even care to come to Zurich to
canvass support and the very presence of the British Prime Minister
should have been sufficient stimulus for FIFA members to vote for
England.
Hence, the fact that FIFA members did not do so, shows that they are
corrupt and ungrateful.
n The USA is the undisputed political power of the world and
therefore FIFA members would have benefited immensely from the USA
hosting the Games 2022. The fact that they did not do so is foolish,
incomprehensible, strange and reeks of corruption.
Notwithstanding this wonderful logic, FIFA Board Members soundly
rejected England and USA, although England’s and US’s bid documents and
presentations were supposed to be superior to others. This rejection
therefore, is clear evidence that the world despises insincere bullies
who practise blatant double standards. The world of today is not
impressed by future kings or arrogant super powers. Wherever and
whenever possible, this unambiguous message is now being conveyed, loud
and clear.
Sometimes out of politeness or fear, countries may not voice their
true sentiments or positions in public.
But, whenever they get an opportunity to teach these bogus and
self-proclaimed saints a lesson or two in private, they do. Therefore
the writing is on the wall for these bullies.
The selfishness and hypocrisy of the leaders of US and England has
already eroded the goodwill of these countries and it is only a matter
of time before their decline and decay would be plain for everyone to
see.
