Infant’s body dumped in pit

A woman resident in Duncan division of Selagama Estate, Matale has been arrested by the Matale Police for allegedly killing a new born infant and dumping the body into a lavatory pit.

Police acting on information from the public has recovered the infant’s body from the pit.
