Son remanded for alleged patricide

Moratuwa Magistrate B A R Somasinghe who held the magisterial inquiry
into the death of 92 year German National Peter Staple remanded his son
62 year N Staple who alleged to have stabbed his father to death at
Egodauyana home in Moratuwa on November 10. Peter staple had come to Sri
Lanka 30 years ago and married to a Sinhala woman and lived in
Egodauyana, Moratuwa.
Few years ago, the wife died and the son and the father were living
in a house at Egodauyana. The son is alleged to have stabbed his father
on November 10 about 2 a.m. and later surrendered to the Moratuwa
police. |
