NITF rated AAA+

Government owned National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF) has been recognized and rated by the Malaysian based Ram Rating international organization as an AAA+ standard organization.

The award document was presented to National Insurance Trust Fund Chairman Senaka Abeygoonasekera by Sri Lanka Representative of Malaysian Ram Rating Organisation Adrian Pereira at the NITF head office, Colombo.

NITF is the only reinsurance organization providing country’s biggest number of medical insurance under the well-known name of Agrahaara insurance scheme.

In addition to this medical insurance scheme NITF provides total insurance cover for migrant workers with the co-ordination of Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau.

NITF as done before has contributed to Rs 2.5 billion for the on-coming Budget 2011 and invested another Rs 1.2 billion in Colombo restructuring project for housing with UDA bringing high yield of interest to NITF.
