Bogus female job agent nabbed

The Kandy police Special Crime Investigation Division yesterday arrested a woman who was handling a bogus job agency promising lucrative job opportunities overseas to the youth in Kandy.

Police found fake documents including passports and VISAs with the suspect.

The raid was conducted following a tip off received by Senior DIG Pujith Jayasundara. There are around 10 complaints against the suspect in various police stations throughout the country. The suspect was a resident of Andiambalama, Negambo and had changed her residence after taking the money from the job seekers in various areas.

Kandy police are conducting further investigations under the direction of CID OIC inspector Indula Athulathmudali.
