SBI celebrates ‘Bank Day’
Every year, the State Bank of India (SBI) celebrates the anniversary
of the setting up of the bank a celebration named ‘Bank Day’. The bank
was formed in 1955. At the Bank Day celebrations in Sri Lanka, the State
Bank of India Regional Head and CEO B. Mahapatra addressed the staff.
Staff who had completed 25 years of service with the bank was
presented mementos and felicitated on this occasion. SBI is a Fortune
500 company and one of the largest banks in Asia with a network of over
18189 branches and offices. It has its presence in 32 countries with 142
foreign offices.
SBI celebrated ‘Bank Day’ in India with the launching of the bank’s
Green Channel Counter facility by Chairman, O.P. Bhatt at 51 select
branches. The Green Channel Counter promotes paperless ‘green’ banking
for deposits, withdrawals and remittances transactions. |
