JCTU condemns JVP acts

The Joint Council of Trade Unions (JCTU) condemn the unruly behaviour of some of the leaders and members of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) shown at Galle city August 12, says a JCTU press release.

Attacking police officers with stones who attempted to maintain law and order and disturbing public life and transportation can’t be considered ethical at all, the press release said.

The union requests the JVP not to repeat such ugly incidents in the future.
