IDB assists Kilinochchi industrial development

The Industrial Development Board (IDB) will uplift the living standard of unemployed youth and low income people in the Kilinochchi district and encourage them to enter into the small and medium scale industries on the instruction of Traditional Industries and Small Enterprise Development Minister Douglas Devananda. Industrial Development Board Chairman Udayasiri Kariyavasam, said the board will fulfil the requirement of sharing knowledge in entrepreneurship as well as technology transfer by conducting training programs on selected demandable fields.

The Jaffna unemployed graduate association will assist the IDB to select the target group.

The chairman said technology transfer programs will be on milk production, fruits and vegetables cultivation, leather and footwear, rexine, grains and sweets.
