First Kumbal Perahera tomorrow

The first Kumbal Perahera of the historic Esala Pageant of the Kandy Sri Dalada Maligawa will perade the streets of Kandy tomorrow (August 15) night.

The Perahera will pass through Dalada Veediya, D S Senanayake Veediya, Deva Veediya, Colombo Street, Yatinuwara Veediya and return to the Maligawa along Raja Veediya.

The Kumbal Perahera will continue daily till August 19.

The first Randoli Perahera will begin on August 20 and continue daily and the final Randoli Perahera will be held on August 24 night.

The pageant will include the water cutting ceremony at the Getambe ferry and the Day Perahera on August 25.
